Individual Mindful and Intuitive Eating Coaching and Consultation

We offer support in learning mindful eating skills as part of therapy or through coaching.  Mindful Eating describes a group of practices aimed at becoming more present and aware while choosing food and eating.  Some approaches to healing from disordered eating such as binge eating or emotional eating, also involve mindfulness practices that help us reconnect with the natural signals our body sends us around hunger, satisfaction, physical and emotional needs.  Mindful and intuitively based eating practices have been shown in studies to reduce binge eating and other compulsive behaviors related to food.   Erica has been working with this approach since 1988 and the research that has been done since supports it’s effectiveness.   This approach can help you heal your relationship to food and your body, and help you find more peace and enjoyment in eating and taking care of yourself.  Please contact us for a complementary 20 minute phone consultation to see if this approach may be right for you.
